Objective Setting up a UV method for the determination of Amoxicillin in Capsule. Methods The weighted amoxicillin was determined at 229mm by UV method after it was dissolved in water - solution. Results The method was linear in the range of 8 ～ 28μg. ml-1 of amoxicillin and no significant changes of UV absorptance was within 48 hour;The average recovery was 99.11%, and precision was satisfactory with RSD equivalent to 0.41% (n = 6 ); The average between this method and the standard one in Chinese Pharmacopoeia by t - paired test (P ＞ 0.05). Conclusion The established method was accurate, quick and reliable, which is suitable for the quality control of amoxicillin capsule.
