Cervical contrast-enhanced MR angiography (CE-MRA) has been widely accepted as a non-invasive diagnostic tool for carotid artery stenosis. CEMRA may have advantages in flow-related artifacts and motion artifacts because use of contrast media enables to visualize vessels independently on its orientation and shorter scan time reduces motion artifact.
