The widely use of imaging equipments, such as PET and SPECT, has brought new opportunity for the development of nuclear medicine. They can undergo an in vivo real-time dynamic observation and make the biological behavior visible. Fusion PET/ CT and SPECT/CT combined the advantage of nuclear medicine and computed tomography. SPECT/CT imaging allows functional and anatomical images to be acquired as fusion images in a single study. This multimodal imaging is now routinely used for the diagnosis and assessment of treatment response of varieties of diseases. As an important research platform of molecular imaging, small animal SPECT/CT has greatly reinforced the prospect ofrndevelopment of basic molecular research and promoted the expansion of clinical medicine at the same time.
