The paper introduces the major contents of maritime safety information (MSI) service, probes into relevant issues in view of the functions of the maritime administration and requirements for relevant international instruments implementation, and puts forward the role of MSA in MSI service.%文中介绍了海上安全信息业务的主要内容，结合海事职责及履约要求阐述了相关问题，提出了海事在海上安全信息业务中应发挥的作用。
