在全球城市强调可持续发展的语境下，对一些具有地域特色的城市旧城街区场所感与文脉的更新延续越来越受到重视。论文结合一次设计实践--合肥市城隍庙旧城街区改造，试图运用地域、生态等相关理论，发掘传统街区地域文化因素。并从文化特征、价值需求、更新改造策略等方面，探索在我国旧城街区更新改造过程中，如何合理保护其文化价值并促进其可持续发展。%In response to the global trend of sustainable urbanization, the construction industry in China has become more rigorous with the revitalizing old city districts of high regional culture value and identity. This paper presents a case study in the city of Hefei, China that exhibits the principles employed by the curent practice of transforming and renovating old city districts. The studied is a district around Chenghuangmiao Temple, an important heritage building in Hefei. The revitalization was designed through a rigorous process that took into account of the geographical, ecological, climatic and al other conditions in an attempt to preserve and to make best use of existing culture heritages. The design sought to balance preservation of heritages and creating new facilities desired for the intended programming. Finaly, strategies for sustainable vitalization of aging or old urban districts in China are proposed and discussed.
