数字时代的“有机建筑”--基于材料的建筑计算设计

摘要

现代主义建筑以空间为建筑设计的核心，探索空间的多种可能性、多样的体验。以空间设计为出发的设计方法依然在当下建筑设计中占据着主流。空间，结构，材料，装饰--这种设计方法中的定式秩序，使得建筑师往往只重视已有建筑材料的使用，而很难去探索材料性能的极限并研发新的材料，随之而来的是建筑形式创新的停滞不前。德国斯图加特大学ICD（Institute for Computational Design）研究中心提出以材料性能做为设计出发点的设计思想，结合材料工程、仿生设计、机械制造工程的最新技术和研究成果，通过一系列优秀的实验和作品展现了材料对建筑形式的创新所带来的新的方向和机会，让设计界开始反思材料在设计过程中的地位，重新思考什么是数字时代的“有机建筑”。%Space is the soul of architecture in Modernism architecture. Space, Structure, Material, Decoration--this hierarchy in design methodology makes architect very hard to explore the characteristics of material. In this case, the form creation is obstructed by the material creation. Recently, ICD(Institute for Computational Design) in Sttugart University is explore a new design method based on material. Applying with the latest technology in material engineering, Bionic-inspired design, mechanic engineering, ICD finished several creative research projects which brings new understanding in material in Architecture design process, makes architects to rethink about what is Organic Architecture in Digital Architecture Area.
