Barlow syndrome means that the primary mitral leaflet billow, with or without prolapse, is associated with myxomatous degeneration of the mitral valve apparatus, mainly the posterior leaflet. Synonyms for this disorder include: late systolic murmurs and non-ejection ( "mid-late") systolic clicks, floppy mitral valve syndrome, myxomatous mitral valve prolapse, mitral leaflet billowing and prolapse, id-iopathic mitral valve prolapse, ballooning posterior mitral leaflet syndrome, prolapsed mitral-leaflet myocardiopathy and mitral valve prolapse syndrome. Barlow syndrome has become a regular, often-used and very often misused diagnosis. Echocardiography plays an important role in the accurate diagnosis of Barlow syndrome. This article reviews recent advances made in using echocardiography to diagnose Barlow syndrome.%Barlow综合征指伴有二尖瓣黏液样变性的原发性二尖瓣瓣叶膨隆,合并或不合并瓣叶脱垂,本病主要累及二尖瓣后叶.其他曾用名包括“收缩中期喀喇音-收缩晚期杂音”、“松软二尖瓣综合征”、“黏液样变性二尖瓣脱垂”、“特发性二尖瓣脱垂”“球形二尖瓣后叶综合征”、“二尖瓣叶脱垂性心肌病”及“二尖瓣脱垂综合征”等.由于现代超声心动图的日益发展和普及,越来越多的二尖瓣脱垂病例被检出,致使“Barlow综合征”成为一种既常用又易被滥用或误用的诊断名称.超声心动图对Barlow综合征的诊断和鉴别具有重要的价值,并可为诊断合并症及评估预后提供帮助.
