Against the historical background today that is themed with "dialogue" and "integration" and in the context of "Internet thinking" in the new media era, Chinese film is at a critical juncture of going global and exploring a new stage and new forms.Therefore, the "Go Global" strategy has become the only path for Chinese film to pursue development and secure a footing in the international film industry and an indisputable fact that the academic circle is studying.This paper will discuss the opportunities and challenges faced by Chinese film in the new era from the angle of the cultural significance and reflection of its going global, and will, through SWOT analysis and in-depth study, try to find the paths and tactics truly suitable for Chinese film in that process.
