The late Roman laws on consanguinity and affinity and their patristic background.

摘要

The purpose of this thesis is not to propose and defend an argument, but to study the subject of the title page. There are not too many publications on this subject and it seems useful to organize the material. We have concentrated mainly on laws concerning first cousins and wife's sisters.;We tried to give the conciliar and patristic background to these laws. And finally we give an example of similar laws in the seventeenth century.
