摘要

Organizational training programs are beneficial not only for both employees and the organization, they are also mandatory for many organizations operating in regulated industries. With the creation of ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003, along with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Quality System Regulations, competency frameworks have long dominated the organizational training landscape. With renewed focus on the human element of an organization as described in ISO 10018:2011 and fundamental to the Gallup philosophy, a traditional competency-based training model fails to fit in with some organization's cultures and doesn't maximize the potential of all employees. Findings in this study showed how one such Gallup company successfully utilized a strengths-based training program for its employees to drive improvements within its business while maintaining compliance to applicable regulatory and quality requirements.
