摘要

Generation X College Faculty have unique characteristics and work values, this group of the workforce were the focus of the study to explore perceptions of Generation X College Faculty at a Midwest Proprietary University regarding motivational needs specific to Generation X and changing infrastructure of higher education in the areas of disintegration of the tenure track system, increased role of technology, and the increased number of for-profit institutions. A comprehensive literature was conducted and further validated with primary data collected to determine that compatibilities do exist between the areas.
