摘要

The thesis is composed of 6 chapters The first chapter is an introduction of the study, a brief account of the subjects, research material and the method. Chapter Two is literature review. Chapter Three details the different stages in CI, namely, understanding, analysis, note-taking and re-expression, with a special emphasis on the system of note-taking. Chapter Four describes in detail the research material and the method adopted. Chapter Five is the qualitative analysis of the notes and of the performance of the trainees. The findings are discussed. Chapter Six is the conclusion part; implications and limitations of the study are discussed.
