摘要

This thesis aims at emphasizing the importance of strategy adoption in listening comprehension and strategy training in teaching listening.It begins with an overview of language learning strategies in listening, followed by a survey concerning students' listening habits and their attitudes towards strategy adoption in listening. Then based on the discussion of the survey findings, several approaches in listening acquisition and teaching are suggested to solve the present problems. Two studies are made, which are designed to elicit the statistical evidence to support what has been suggested. Next it gives a description of the realization of strategy training in teaching listening. The description may give great inspiration to college teachers in helping students improve their listening comprehension.At the end of this thesis, some pedagogical implications have been put forward.
