语境对改善高中英语听力教学效果的研究

摘要

英语学习过程包含听、说、读、写四种基本技能，其中听是一项非常重要的技能，也是对大多数英语学习者造成困难的一个突出的问题。同时，听力也是一个有助于发展其它语言技能和衡量英语学习者全面语言能力的关键因素。提高学生的听力理解能力也有助于发展学生的综合语言运用能力。所以，如何改进高中英语听力教学吸引了广大英语教师的关注。然而，老师和学生都重视考试成绩而忽视对听力能力的培养。传统的听力教学仍然停留在机械层面:放录音—听录音—完成练习—对答案—复听，这更像训练而不像教学，同时也导致了目前听力教学中所存在的诸多问题。许多学生在做听力理解时也会感到焦虑和紧张。所以，我们迫切需要一种新的听力教学方式来改变目前高中英语听力教学的这种状况。
　　在阅读了大量的文献之后，笔者受到许多语言学家和学者所提出的语境理论的启发，决定在语境理论的指导下，尝试采用一种把语境知识运用于听力教学的新的教学方式。笔者以已有的语境和听力研究为基础，将在文中讨论语境在听力理解中的重要作用，并将在笔者所工作的浙江省德清县高级中学实施一项教学研究。在研究中，笔者尝试把语境知识运用于听力教学实践。这项教学研究是为了证明语境知识在听力教学中的运用是否能改进高中英语听力教学和提高学生的听力理解能力;并发现语境对高中英语听力教学和学生的听力理解能力会产生哪些显著的效果。
　　研究结果表明把语境知识运用于听力教学能有效地改善高中英语听力教学，唤起学生对听力课堂的兴趣，降低学生做听力时的焦虑感并增强信心，提高学生的英语听力测试成绩;而且从某种程度上也将提高学生的英语综合运用能力。同时，这项研究也给高中英语听力教学提供了一些启示，即在听力教学过程中，教师要帮助学生积累各种社交语境和文化语境知识，提高语音能力、猜词能力、预测能力、推断能力等。然而，由于作者自身的能力和研究时间的限制，此项研究仍然有几个方面需要改进，存在的问题仍然需要进一步的研究和解决。
