摘要

本文以乔治·爱略特的《亚当·比德》作为现实主义小说的范例，分析了意识形态对文学文本进行渗入的过程。意识形态可以通过以下方式进入文本：渗入语言的意义形成过程，对文本素材以及文本写作技巧运用的选择。意识形态大略可以分成三类：政治的，思想的和道德的。伦理道德价值可以归入其中的第三类，即道德部分。为了建够一个理想状态的理论框架，需要一个相对高度“纯粹”的文本。而《亚当·比德》正是一个现实主义小说高纯度文本的典范。本文致力于分析它所代表的道德范畴意识形态。乔治·爱略特之所以选择一个淳朴的小乡村作为《亚当·比德》的背景并不是为了要表现它的淳朴美而是着眼于它的简明透彻，适宜作为简化的模型以此窥见当时的整个社会构成。本文将分析维多利亚中期的社会构成，进而揭示《亚当·比德》写作时的具体话语实践。作为现实主义小说的标志性特征，情感结构将意识形态与受过大量细致描述的日常生活经历二者联系起来。意识形态对文学文本的渗入是通过情感结构而实现的。只要分析和理解作者在直接生活群体中所获得的这种情感结构，就可以进而把握当时整个社会的肌理。
