旅游业是当今社会信息更新速度较快的行业之一，相关的新闻报道也日益活跃，而对于旅游新闻学这一新兴学科，国内研究却少之又少。本文以《旅游新闻学、世界情怀和地方品牌环境》为源文本，在语义翻译及交际翻译理论的指导下探讨旅游新闻学相关内容的翻译。 译者结合翻译实践，发现《旅游新闻学、世界情怀和地方品牌环境》一文的翻译难点在于陌生的旅游胜地名称翻译，大量的旅游新闻学词汇和术语翻译，复杂的长句翻译以及大量被动语句的翻译四个方面。译者相应地采取以下翻译策略及技巧来应对上述翻译难点。针对陌生的旅游胜地名称的翻译，应该以交际翻译理论为指导，处理这类名称的译法。对于旅游新闻学词汇及术语的翻译，应当以语义翻译为主，准确地再现原文中术语的意思，参考其他相关书籍以及上下文，选出最为恰当的汉语表达方式。对于长句的翻译，需要译者在翻译时，仔细推敲上下文，结合两种翻译方法，最终确定最为合适的译法。而对于被动语句的翻译，需要译者仔细推敲主被更替，以最精确的语言阐释概念。 报告的最后一部分心得，译者指出对所翻译的文本学科有深入细致的了解能够帮助译者更好的传达文本原意，同样，对于翻译技巧，大量的练习可以帮助译者熟而生巧，准确翻译。
