RUSSIA: TVEL Plans to Build a 20,000 tp.a. TiO2 Pigment Plant in Siberia

TVEL, the uranium mining and nuclear fuel supplier, which is part of the Rosatom State Nuclear Energy Co., has announced plans to become a TiO2 pigment producer during 2017. It will invest Rbl 130-150 million (just over $US 2 million) to build a pilot-scale plant, with a capacity of 5000 t.p.a. The aim is to expand this to 20,000 t.p.a. fairly quickly.
