英语会话中刻意曲解的关联视角研究

摘要

在人类言语交际中，当听话人未能正确理解说话人所传递的意义时，误解就会产生。但在一些言语交际中，听话人为了达到交际目的，在正确理解对方话语的基础上，有意歪曲对方的话语意图，以便达到特定的交际效果。这样的一种语言现象就是刻意曲解。
　　本文以两部美剧为语料，以Sperber&Wilson的关联理论为框架，分析了英语会话中刻意曲解的触发机制，实现手段及语用功能。分析发现，刻意曲解的触发机制主要是说话人的话语中缺少明示，即话语的不确定性。具体的因素有，最简信息，同音异义，一词多义，指示语，结构歧义，言语行为和会话含义。这些因素给听话人创造了刻意曲解说话人意图的机会。根据关联理论，听话人分别从四个方面来实现刻意曲解:
　　1、故意忽视说话者的明示信息;
　　2、调动大脑中不同的认知假设来扩展语境;
　　3、利用双方不同的认知知识;
　　4、利用最大关键与最佳关联的矛盾。
　　最后，研究发现，英语中刻意曲解主要有五个语用功能:打破僵局，避免人际冲突，维持人际关系，制造幽默效果以及拒绝请求。
　　本研究对现实生活中的交际活动具有指导意义，对刻意曲解这一知识的透彻理解有助于提高语言使用者的交际能力，同时也有助于保证交际的顺利进行。
