基于系统功能观的欧·亨利小小说的语类分析

摘要

作为世界著名的三大小说家之一，欧·亨利的作品一直被广为关注。国内外不同领域的学者对他的作品都有广泛的研究，如他的作品中所表现出来的社会问题，整个情节的精妙构思以及它的意想不到的结尾等。但是从系统功能语言学的角度研究还比较少见，本文正是从这个角度出发，希望能发掘出他的小小说中的语类特点。
　　本文以Halliday系统功能语法理论为基础，结合Labov的叙事文模型来分析欧·亨利的五篇作品，找出其叙事结构、三大语言元功能特点并进行解释评价举例。
　　本文共分为五章。第一章概述本文的写作背景、目的、意义及研究方法。第二章阐述什么是系统功能语法及三大元功能。第三章是本文的理论框架，它详细说明了语类的含义，拉波夫的记叙文结构理论和Halliday功能语法中的语言三大元功能。第四章是本文的主体，它以第三章的理论为基础对五篇小小说进行定性定量的语类分析，从而体现出小小说的主题含义也可以通过对语句结构的剖析表达出来。最后一章是对以上研究的总结。
