2012&2013平遥国际摄影节英汉翻译报告

摘要

平遥国际摄影节(PIP)到目前为止已经成功举办了十三届，吸引了超过三万名国内外摄影师和策展人参加，展出了多达15万幅风格迥异的作品，有超过160万观众前来欣赏这座古城展示给世人的视觉盛宴。国外摄影师的简介以及他们的作品陈述需要在摄影节前翻译成中文并且在大展进行时与作品一同展出。摄影节进行期间的许多节目，比如现场讲解和公开课等也需要译员参与其中，架起沟通中西的桥梁。我有幸作为翻译志愿者参与了2012年与2013年的平遥国际摄影节。这篇报告正是基于我在期间的翻译实践和10万字的翻译成果写成的。
　　在目的论的指导下，平遥国际摄影节的翻译目的明确，即为观众服务。目的文本应该忠于原文本，并且准确、流畅，同时不失原文风格。这个风格在大多数情况下指其文字的艺术性和吸引观众的特性。
　　这篇报告首先在第一章引言部分给出了项目背景、项目描述及目标;第二章涉及此类文本的翻译现状;第三章包括人物描述:译前准备、翻译过程、译后审校等。在第四章着重分析了翻译策略，其中包括词、句、语篇的翻译案例。最后在第五章给出了发现和讨论。
