A Report on the Translation of Instructions of ABB Hospital Beds

摘要

我国加入世界贸易组织十几年来，越来越多的外国工业产品涌入国内市场，英文产品说明书的翻译工作也逐年增多。本实践报告的翻译材料为ABB公司电动病床系列产品说明书，共包括三部分：《ABB3XC重症监护病床》、《ABB智能通用医用病床》和《ABB3重症护理病床》。其内容主要介绍了产品的结构、功能、工作原理、使用方法、维修保养等。
　　本翻译项目具有英文产品说明书的一般性文体特征：表达准确、逻辑性强、结构简洁；但由于该产品属于病床类产品，其说明书内容在词汇、句法和语篇方面又有某些专业性特点。本实践报告以功能对等理论为指导，对病床类说明书的翻译方法进行探讨，希望对读者能有所裨益。
　　本文主要内容分为四章。第一章引言，主要对选题背景和意义、任务信息、译前准备和报告框架结构进行了介绍。第二章结合《ABB公司病床说明书》分析英文产品说明书的文体特征。第三章基于功能对等理论探讨和总结笔者在翻译实践中的具体翻译对策。第四章结语，主要对此次翻译实践过程中的经验和启示进行总结。
