探讨图示理论构建下的大学英语报刊阅读

摘要

《英语报刊阅读》课在英语语言学习中起着非常重要的作用。报刊阅读能够帮助学习者吸收外国文化的精髓，扩大视野，扩展知识面，加深学习者对于世界的了解，并且可以加强学习者的艺术造诣。因此，报刊阅读是高校开发课程资源的一个有效途径。 报刊阅读课的开设旨在训练学生的报刊阅读策略，使他们运用这些技能进行更多的报刊阅读。报刊阅读课还应具有以下功能:强化学生的综合语言能力，培养学生的评判性思维，增强文化意识以及培养自主学习。经过一个学期的报刊阅读课的教学之后，作者进行了教学反思，发现上述的五种报刊课的功能在传统的教学方法下并没有得以发挥。普遍的一个现象就是语言专业的学生即使已经开设过报刊课，他们仍然不会自主定期阅读报刊。 因为图示理论在过去的几十年已经作为一个有效的理论在课堂阅读教学中得到了广泛的应用，所以作者假定图示理论指导下的报刊阅读教学可以在报刊阅读课中提高学生的阅读能力。因此，作者经过试验，收集数字，做出分析，证实了图示指导下的报刊阅读教学法以及图示指导下的报刊阅读活动的使用比传统的教学法更能充分发挥报刊阅读课的功能。
