摘要

随着语言学理论的发展和跨文化交际的更高要求,英语在社会生活中扮演着越来越重要的角色。在英语教学中新课标把更多的重点放到了学生对文化的了解,文化的敏感性和跨文化交际的能力上。 众所周知,阅读在英语学习中起着至关重要的作用。高中英语的大纲也把阅读放到了听说读写四项基本技能的首位。本论文意图通过给学生输入大量的跨文化知识,提高他们英语阅读的能力。 本文分为五个部分。第一章介绍了文化输入在中国高中英语教学中的现状和存在的问题,及此问题研究的重要性;第二章详尽地介绍了语言,文化,跨文化交际这些理论知识,语言和文化之间的关系,发展跨文化交际能力的必要性;并谈了阅读的目的,步骤等,跨文化知识在高中英语阅读教学中的内容和潜在的问题构成了第三章;在第四章我们主要讨论怎样提高学生阅读能力,通过预测,猜词,略读和速读,简述等提高他们对文章背后文化的理解:最后一章我们得出结论,根据新大纲,在高中英语教学中传授跨文化知识不但重要而且必要。
