大学英语教材真实性的研究—辽宁师范大学所用的大学英语教材

摘要

英语教学真实性的研究已经在外语教学界成为一个热门的话题之一。随着交际语言教学的发展,真实性这一概念已经成为解决外语学习中问题的一个重要因素,并引起了很大的争议。许多研究者试图给真实性下个定义,但似乎很难达到共识,其中主要原因可能是由于真实性的多样性所导致。越来越多的研究者开始重视真实性的领域研究。近些年对于真实性的定义也是很复杂和抽象的。不同的研究者持有不同的观点,他们从不同的角度对真实性进行研究分析,比如从动机研究,跨文化研究,交际语言教学研究及二语习得研究等。
　　 同时,在应用语言学领域,特别是在教材设计和语言教学等领域,教学材料的真实性也引起了不同程度的争议。在英语教材研究领域,有研究商务英语教材的真实性,大学听力英语教材的真实性等。然而针对某一大学英语教材的真实性研究很少。本文研究的教材是上海外语教育出版社(2002)出版的,翟象俊主编的大学英语精读修订本第二册。
　　 本文研究的问题有三个:
　　 1.根据Leo Van Lier(1996)的理论,分析所选的大学英语教材的真实性如何?
　　 2.学生对于本册教材中具有真实性内容和不具有真实性内容观点和建议分别如何?
　　 3.教材真实性和学生自主性存在什么样的关系?
　　 本研究主要采用问卷调查和访问的方法,依据Leo Van Lier(1996)理论对所选教材的真实性进行分析研究。本研究步骤大概分为三部分:1.阐述Van Lier的理论及其它研究者的部分观点2.做调查并分析3.分析结果产生的因为并提出些对以后英语教学的启示和建议。
　　 本研究结果表明本册大学英语教材在教学中,缺少真实性的教学活动和运用语言的真实环境,在教材设计中真实性任务相对少些。
　　 本研究意义是对大学英语教材的设计及应用有一定的启示作用。通过了解大学英语教材的真实性,有助于大学英语教学和设计的发展,使其更加满足学生的需要,与时俱进并符合社会发展需要。
　　 本文对产生的结果进行了详细的分析,并基于分析结果提出改进大学英语教学的办法和建议。本文研究的局限和不足在于调查对象不是很多,只调查一册大学英语教材,以及时间的限制,在真实性领域还有待进一步研究的问题。
