Determinants of Training Needs in United Bank of Africa(Uba)

摘要

本研究的目的是确定培训需求的决定因素和影响员工选择培训的潜在因素。我们选择非洲联合银行作为一个研究案例，非洲联合银行是西非最大的金融服务集团，资产负债表大约有8亿美元，拥有超过600万个客户账户、600家分行以及700多台自动柜员机。样本是来自非洲联合银行（加纳）有限公司总行的50名工作人员，该部门拥有包括低、中、高在内的不同级别的雇员数量最多。由于标识问题，在选择合适的受访者时采用了便捷抽样的方法。数据是由目标样本收集得到，与人口特征、在职培训、组织需求和任务分析相关。该研究使用描述性统计来确定在银行产业中影响培训需求的因素，并使用回归分析来确定员工选择进行培训的因素。使用多个统计工具Origin8、Minitab16和SPSS17来分析数据。采用SPSS进行回归分析，确定训练与年龄、性别、经验、最高教育水平、种族、宗教、部门、婚姻状况之间的关系。培训(Y)为因变量，年龄(A)、性别(B)、经验(C)、最高教育水平(D)、宗教(E)、种族(F)、婚姻状况(G)和部门(H)为独立变量。研究结果表明银行业培训的主要决定因素是:性能问题的存在、人事角色性能上的频率错误、系统与技术的改变、新的机遇、监管问题以及呈增长趋势的竞争对手。员工选择的决定性因素是年龄、最高学历、宗教以及他工作的部门。
