英语教育硕士跨文化交际能力的调查研究——以华中师范大学为例

摘要

随着经济全球化的深入发展，跨文化交际能力已然成为二语习得学与教的终极目标之一。鉴于此，国内外许多有关此热门话题的研究，无论是在理论还是实证方面都已取得相当的成就。但是，在研究对象上，很少有把调查英语教育硕士作为研究对象。而在推动这个目标实现的过程中，拥有学生和未来教师双重身份的英语教育硕士起着至关重要的作用。他们的跨文化交际能力水平将会对自己以及未来学生的发展产生无可回避地影响。因此，基于相关研究和理论，本文以华中师范大学英语教育硕士为调查对象，从跨文化交际知识、跨文化行为、以及跨文化敏感度三个维度探索英语教育硕士跨文化交际能力的水平，采用访谈法深入了解其看法，并且通过SPSS21.0对相关结果进行处理并进描述性行分析和讨论探寻潜在的原因。以期利用相关的调查结果为培养和提高英语教育硕士的跨文化交际能力提供一些可行性的建议。
　　华中师范大学98名英语教育硕士参加了问卷调查，目的是探索以下三个研究问题:1.英语教育硕士的跨文化交际能力的总体现状如何？2.英语教育硕士对英语教育和跨文化交际能力关系的看法如何？3.造成英语教育硕士跨文交际能力现状的原因是什么？
　　研究的主要发现如下:1.华中师范大学英语教育硕士跨文化交际能力的水平整体处于中等，但在跨文化知识、行为和敏感度三个维度上呈现不平衡的状态。英语教育硕士的跨文化敏感度极高但是跨文化知识和跨文化行为的整体得分却没有达到中等水平。2.英语教育硕士认为，英语教育与跨文化交际能力的培养有密切关系，而且，英语教育对跨文化交际能力的培养有着重要作用。然而课堂中，教育者很少有针对性地去培养英语教育硕士的跨文化交际能力。3.缺乏有效的指导和评价体系以及教育硕士自身学习的被动性是造成现状的主要原因。
　　根据调查结果，本文为提高跨文化交际能力提出几点建议:1.教育者应该对英语教育硕士的跨文化交际能力的状态有所了解;2.教育者应该自觉推动和实践与跨文化交际能力有关的课程改革;3.学习者应充分发挥本身的能动作用。
