中庸之道与《女勇士》和《喜福会》中的文化冲突与融合

摘要

本文对 中庸之道与《女勇士》和《喜福会》中的文化冲突与融合进行了研究。文章认为，华裔美国人第二代(包括两位女作家)，身处中国(东方)和美国(西方)两个世界独特的两难位置，他们惟有以包容和相互理解的心态，才能调和这两个世界之间不可避免的文化冲突，通过追求平衡，将文化冲突转化为文化融合。这正是中庸之道“和而不同”的原则。中庸之道不愧是华裔美国人尤其是第二代华裔美国人在多元文化语境下的一副处世良方。
