Circular Economy is a new paradigm that proposes that the production processes mimicnature, where there are no waste and everything is used. The current focus of ourproductive processes are linear: resources (materials, energy) consumed and waste goesto deposits that are a permanent and growing problem for countries. In the circulareconomy, resources are considered "nutrient" of the system, once are used can be reusedin other production processes.The purpose of this paper is to explore the opportunities of applying this approach in roadinfrastructure projects in Chile which is an industry that consumes a lot of resources peryear, both material and energy.The use of this approach can generate significant economic benefits to the industry that isnecessary to begin to study, in addition to the sustainability benefits generated. This paperwill focus on describing the main opportunities for application of circular economy Chile,and the main benefits that are detected in the first analysis. For this reason, the life cycleof a road project will be analyzed, identifying opportunities for implementing this in each ofits phases.
