Flow-through solar water pasteurization system with heat recovery

摘要

Solar water pasteurization system with heat recovery was studied theoretically. The system consists of a solar collector, storage tanks, and connecting pipes. Flow-through system is based on the concept of density difference between two columns of water. The simulation results showed that the daily system output is about 93 kg of pasteurized water. The pasteurization temperature was taken 70°C. One main advantage of the flow-through system is that it produces treated water throughout the day, depending on the amount of incident solar radiation.
