Exploiting Reusable Knowledge to Enhance Multi- Agents Capabilities: Mining Data Model and Glossary Repositories

The main goal of this paper is to explore ideas on knowledge reuse in the rapidly evolving area of multi-agent ontology as they deal with less structured and information found in unfamiliar contexts. The diverse use of the "knowledgeable agents" obscures the fact that within f research to provide standard electronic services and multi-agent solutions there is a fragile dependency on heterogeneous knowledge. The recent "semantic web" approach argues for letting diverse ontologies bloom while traditional E-Commerce approaches are pursuing terminological standard. This paper looks at the usefulness of intermediating agents designed to mine pre-existing repositories of conceptual models and domain glossary information to help distributed communities such as articulated as semantic web and E-Commerce agents. The paper illustrates some examples of conceptual data models and glossaries knowledge reuse for these applications. Finally, it speculates as to mediating agent dialog reusing intermediate forms of structured and less structured domain knowledge.
