Software and Firmware For Consumer Systems: Safety and Products Liability

摘要

The growing use of embedded software in consumer products is likely to be accompanied by an increase in the number of user injuries and hence, an increase in the number of product liability lawsuits related to such software. When properly utilized, appropriate system safety methodologies can be used as a defense against such product liability lawsuits.
