Past, Present and Future for China's Non-ferrous Mining Industry

The Chinese non-ferrous mining industry has a long history that can be dated back 3000 years ago (the West Zhou Dynasty). The mining technique got a fast development in the last century. This paper will describe the following aspects of China's non-ferrous mining industry: 1. The review of the mining technique of Chinese non-ferrous mines in the last century. The filling mining methods have got a wider and wider application. More and more mines use large and automatic equipment and the ramp development got a prospective future. The output capacity of Chinese non-ferrous mines has greatly increased during the past 20 years. 2. In respect to the future of China's non-ferrous mining industry, we must pay attention to the following, 2.1 Deep mining technique 2.2 IT technique in mining industry 2.3 The challenge of entering WTO for Chinese mining industry 2.4 Environment protection of mining district 2.5 Sustainable development of Chinese mining industry.
