Beijing, as the political, economic, and cultural center of China, is in the criticaltime of mobilization like many other big cities in China. Both the travel demandsand number of motor vehicles have grown increasingly along with the trafficcongestion. Operating agencies in Beijing has developed a comprehensiveIntelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) planning and a series of ITSdemonstration projects for Beijing Olympic Game of 2008.
