GSM AS THE SOURCE FOR TRAFFICINFORMATION

摘要

This paper reports on the results of pilot project for employing GSM as a source fortraffic information. It provides a brief introduction of the technology and gives theresults of the validation of the system on some of the roads in Noord-Brabant. Theresults show that the technology offers a step forward in traffic management byproviding a cost effective real time overview over the situation on the complete roadnetwork.
