摘要

In this paper, a new high speed weigh-in-motion(WIM) system using fiber optic sensoris researched and proposed. The fiber Bragg grating(FBG) optic sensors, which have severaladvantages such as good reproducibility and good multiplicity compare to other optical fibersensors, are used for the system. The proposed fiber optic WIM system is tested by actualexperiments with many kinds of vehicle. Using this system, the velocity of vehicle and theclassification of vehicle can be detected and are utilized as statistical data for trafficmanagement.
