THE NORWEGIAN VISION ZERO DID IT WORK?

Vision Zero is an image of a future situation where nobody is killed or seriously injured inroad accidents. In the time period 2003 – 2006, the Norwegian Public Roads Administrationcarried out a national traffic safety project in Lillehammer based on the Vision Zero. Focuswas put on measures to avoid the most serious accidents or reduce their effects. The projectcovered measures related to the roads, vehicles and different group of transport users.This paper presents the evaluation results of these measures.
