Determining the Opportunity of New Stations on High Speed Lines

SNCF (Soci6t6 Nationale des chemins de fer francais) has established a method for evaluating the opportunity of building new stations on new highspeed lines. With this method, particular allowance is made for the demographic and economic context (population and jobs) and the services available in competing stations.
