Innovation and Practice for China High Speed Railway Stations

摘要

Railway stations, an important part of sophisticated railway network, also serve as important nodes for the national comprehensive traffic system and an indispensable driving force of urban development. With the rigorous development of high-speed rail in the country, railway station construction has also ushered in a rare development opportunity. After six years' exploration and practice in building high speed rail stations , major progress has been made in terms of construction concept, key technologies and engineering management. The paper makes an intensive introduction on the planning and progress made in station construction , does an in-depth analysis on the challenges ahead, systematically elaborates on the goals of high speed rail stations and implementation approaches, and briefly summarizes significant achievements of high speed rail stations in China.
