摘要

Most of the damage of embankment due to liquefaction is mainly caused by the settlement of the wholestructure due to the liquefaction of subsoil. The objective of the present study is to evaluate the settlementof embankment based on the degree of liquefaction of subsoil and duration of shaking through a series ofexperiments with a shaking table. The relationship between the subsidence of embankment and the totaldeformation including that of subsoil is evaluated quantitatively. The experiment revealed that thesettlement of embankment was effectively reduced by the proposed method that can restrain the lateralflow of liquefied subsoil.
