摘要

Mining and metallurgical activities led to enhancement of Cd and Zn contents in soil in Pribram area. There were greatly exceeded background values there representing potential danger of adverse effects on plants, animals and humans. Therefore, it is necessary to study this locality and to determine exact boundaries of contamination for this locality, especially for areas where use of remediation will be necessary. It was verified that the contents of metals decrease regularly with the distance from contamination source and zone of maximum contamination is up to 1 km from the chimney, but farther locality with high contents of Cd and Zn were found. The plant available content of Cd and Zn in soil is related to pH value only. Influence of others soil properties to changes of mobile portions of elements was not observed.
