WEB-BASED TRADING OF DIGITAL LEARNING MATERIALS USING VIRTUAL MONEY: DO UNIVERSITY STUDENTS ACCEPT IT?

The next Web-based Learning should not only be learnercenteredrnbut also learner-created. We developed the Webbasedrnknowledge trading environment where a user canrnsell (produce) his/her knowledge and buy (consume)rnknowledge from other users by using virtual money. Andrnthen we experimentally used this environment in twornuniversity classes, expecting that the students would sellrn(create) their digital learning materials and learn morerneffectively with motivation. However, we could notrnobtain favourable results from the experimental use.
