A TRAINING PATH ADVISOR FOR LIFELONG LEARNING

The need for lifelong learning is increasing, especially inrnan ever-changing work environment, which requiresrnemployees to acquire new knowledge and skills. ThernHong Kong Qualifications Framework (HKQF) is arnmodel of competency, which matches various types ofrnqualifications to a clear definition of competencyrnstandards in different professional areas. We developed arnprototype of web-based training path advisor for projectrnmanagement under such a framework. The systemrndescribes the HKQF in ontology and suggestsrnpersonalized training path with suitable courses tornlearners based on a learner's competency level, trainingrnhistory, and training goals.
