Across the planet as well as in Chile, UFOs are known and commented as one of the topics that stand apart from classic science. The rejection by the permanent scientific institutions is partly due to the scientific methodology for measuring and verifying does may not apply to the study of the phenomena and as a result creates a lack of any anomalous identification throughout the world skies. It is true that the first real rapprochement of ufology to scientists occurred in the United States in 1997, in the so-called 'Sturrock Report', where a large scientific panel discussed several cases that had sufficient evidence and importance regarding this global phenomenon. But where the real issue of UFOs needs to be considered and studied is in the field of aeronautics. Optimistic ufologists, would have never imagined that one day the phenomenon would be considered for study in the field of aeronautics.
