A methodology for designing large load-capacity flexural mechanisms is presented. A series and parallel combination of flexural constraints were appropriately chosen to increase load-sharing and also allow for large range. Two case studies, one for a purely 1DOF linear bearing and another for a diaphragm flexure are discussed.
