摘要

Adlets are metadata representation of various kinds of documents available on the Internet. Adlets can be autonomous; they can travel among sites and communicate with one another to satisfy a specific need of information retrieval. Protocols specify their behavior. In this paper, we propose a methodology to rapidly prototype adlet-based applications in a systematic manner. The output of this methodology is adlet types in an executable automata model―Multiple State Machine (MSM). The main reason we can rapidly prototype adlet-based applications is that this methodology is based on the reusable templates, which have the detailed specification in MSM.
