The MODES Global Control Environment - A tool for rapid prototyping

This paper presents a software environment for the rapidnprototyping of CAD systems, the Global Control Environment (GCE). Itnbasically provides a mechanism to define the user interface and to studynpossible interactions between internal applications without having toncope with a programming language. The GCE tool is currently used for thendesign of the MODES system, an environment for the automatic generationnof behavioral models from high-level specifications
