Abstract: The transverse nonlinear dynamics of an active system (laser with nonlinear saturable absorber in self-imaging cavity) are considered theoretically. The soliton-like light field structure formation as well as new effects of optical multistability originating from the transverse oscillation phase distribution are shown to be possible. !6
