摘要

A wedge type metal delivery system has been designed for thetwin-roll strip casting process. In this study, a three-dimensionalmathematical model has been developed for the coupled analysisof fluid flow, heat transfer and solidification in the pool using thefinite difference method. The effect of different delivery systemconfigurations on flow pattern and solidification was predicted.The simulation results showed that it was desirable for the wedgemetal delivery system to not only provide uniformity of flow andtemperature in the pool, but also to improve strip quality and??ensure the casting process.
