Modeling, statistical analyses and simulations of random items and behavior on material surfaces

This contribution concerns some methods of stochastic geometry used for describing, statistical analyses and simulations of random items on surfaces of materials. A special class of random sets given by a union of interacting discs (Quermass-interaction process) and random marked sets are theoretically explained and consequently applied to concrete data representing different material surfaces.
