In the present work an analysis of the electrochemical behavior of Zn, Sn and Zn-Sn alloys (with 3, 10 and 50 wt.% of Sn) was realized. The samples were obtained through a directional horizontal solidification with caloric extraction in two opposite directions, resulting in each sample the columnar to equiaxed transition structure (CET). The analysis of the corrosion resistance was realized through potentiodynamic cyclic polarization essays and the EIS technique, using a conventional three electrodes cell and a defeated 3% NaCl solution at room temperature. The microscopic observation of the samples showed that with the increase of Sn content, increases the susceptibility to pitting corrosion. The EIS spectrums were adjusted according two equivalent circuit models, R(RQ) and R(Q(R(RQ))). The found parameters described the behavior of the oxide film formed.
